HISTORY
In 2001, three Seattle area theatre
companies that have all been performing in area parks for the past
decade joined forces to create the first ever Seattle Outdoor Theatre
Festival.
The
companies, GreenStage, Theatre Schmeater and Wooden O Theater converged
on Volunteer Park to create a fun weekend of plays that attracted
a total of over 1500 people.
In 2004, the Festival returned for
it's fourth year, with more performances that ever before. Julius
Caesar and Love's Labours Lost from Wooden O Theatre,
Volpone from Theater Schmeater, and All's Well That Ends
Well from GreenStage. And The
Young Shakespeare Workshop also joined us with their production
of Love's Labours Lost.
